3 Killed In Toms River Crash Overnight: Police

TOMS RIVER, NJ ? Authorities are investigating a crash that killed three people early Friday in Toms River, Toms River police said.

The crash at the intersection of Lakehurst Road and Hospital Drive was reported at 12:25 a.m., said Jillian Messina, media relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department.

Three people died at the crash site, Messina said. She did not provide any identifying information on the victims as efforts to notify their families were continuing.

Toms River Police EMS also responded to the crash, she said.

Toms River Police Traffic Safety Officer Terry Warren and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office are investigating and more information will be provided later, she said.
