Congregation B'nai Israel Installs New Officers and Directors
Toms River Conservative Synagogue Installs New President, Officers and Board of Directors

Since 1950, Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) has been the epicenter of Conservative Jewish life in Toms River and the surrounding areas, with its synagogue located on their 14 acre Old Freehold Road campus. Since 2011, Toms River Resident and local business owner, Phil Brilliant has served as President, volunteering his time to manage the business of the synagogue alongside the Officers, Board of Directors, Clergy and Staff. On June 18th, Toms River Resident, Michele Pardes was installed for a two year term as President along with the following Officers:
- Financial/First Vice President – Rubin Ackman
- Membership Vice President – Penny Leifer
- Facilities Vice President – Peter Kitay
- Education Vice President – Assaf Langer
- Religion Vice President – Michael Falk
- Communications Vice President – Allysa Weintraub
Additionally, the following Board of Directors were installed for one or two year terms:
Carla Friedman, Caryn Phillips, Lisa Kassenoff, Megina Mittleberg, Sharon Levine, Fred Weil, Phyllis Kohl, Robert Rabinowitz, Alan Baxter, Jonathan Garsman, Elaine Collins, Sandy Welsher, Terri Gibbor, and Stephen Lieberman
