Country Music BBQ Fest Brings Nashville To Seaside Heights
The two-day event aims to appeal to the Shore's country music fans. It also raises funds for service dogs for veterans with PTSD.
SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — Seaside Heights is going country this weekend, hosting the two-day Country Music and BBQ Fest in the borough.
The event, which starts Friday, will include more than a dozen country bands and musicians giving live performances, along with food trucks, barbecue food, crafters, beer trucks and more. The event is hosted by Seaside Heights, JerseyShoreCountry.com and Coors Light.
Thompson Square, Southern Halo, CJ Solar, Spensha Baker, Dushane Bandd, and Julia Still are among the country acts scheduled to perform.

"We said we were going to bring Nashville to the Jersey Shore and we meant it!" said Kaptain Jack, owner of JerseyShoreCountry.com. "This is the first of many country music fests and events to come."
"To have our very first Country Music & BBQ Fest in Seaside Heights is beyond exciting," Seaside Heights Mayor Tony Vaz said. "We are continually bringing events to our town for all families to enjoy and Country Music is certainly for all families. We welcome everyone to come and enjoy a great time with amazing talent, great food and some family fun!"

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Troopers Assisting Troops, an organization of retired and active New Jersey State Troopers that raises funds to provide service dogs to soldiers with PTSD and other injuries. Some of the proceeds will benefit the Seaside Business Improvement District.
The event runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and begins at 11 a.m. Saturday on Grant Avenue between the Boulevard and Ocean Terrace.
Tickets are $20 in advance for a two-day wristband to the Country Music Festival and $30 at the gate. Tickets can be purchased online.
