Cub Scouts Holding Free Regatta Sailboat Race In Toms River
Build your sailboat, give it the wind power and check out Cub Scout Pack 29.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River Cub Scout Pack 29 is hosting a free event Monday, July 29 and is inviting Toms River boys and girls and their parents to join them.
The Regatta Sailboat Race, set for 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 113 Tennyson Ave., Toms River, is open to children ages 5 to 10.
The children will create and build their own sailboats, then race them down rain gutters while creating the wind to power the sails, said Amy Ridgeway, who is Cub Scout Master of the pack along with her husband.
