Enjoy Summer In The Streets In Toms River

The Toms River Police Department's Summer in the Streets event highlights the diverse community and aims to bring people together.

TOMS RIVER, NJ ? Head out to Huddy Park Thursday evening for the Toms River Police Department's Summer in the Streets event.

The event ? Toms River's take on the National Night Out program ? will include first responder displays and K-9 and motorcycle demonstrations.

It also will have the Around the World in Toms River walk, hosted by TR UNITED. TR UNITED ? Uniting Neighbors In Town Every Day ? was created by Toms River Police Chief Mitchell Little in 2018 to promote understanding and foster a sense of community.

There also will be food trucks, facepainting, games, information from various community organizations, popcorn and cotton candy, and music.

The festivities begin at 5 p.m. at Huddy Park on Water Street, and run until 8 p.m.
