Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?

Klotzkin: Although we were just handed over the Plaid from Whistle Punk Den to Bury The Hatchet in November, Bury the Hatchet has been in New Jersey since June 2017.


Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Klotzkin: Ironically, on a trip to Canada to attend an Escape Room Conference, my partner and I threw some axes at a local place. I was hooked. We leased our first space in Cherry Hill and branded our name Bury The Hatchet two months later.


Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?


Klotzkin: It's like darts on steroids.


Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?


Klotzkin: Being that we are a BYO axe throwing facility, our priority is making sure we have a safe environment for both staff and customers.


Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?


Klotzkin: All the positive energy watching people have fun.


Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?


Klotzkin: We are a customer-centric organization. We pride ourselves on giving our customers the best experience they can have.


Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?


Klotzkin: Keep it simple. Be nice. Listen to your customers and learn from your experience.


Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about?


Klotzkin: We are continuing to grow and hope to open six additional locations in the next few months.


Patch: Do you have any events coming up in your community?


Klotzkin: We are adding league play in each location as we open. We are happy to say that many of our league players go on to compete on a national level.
