Fatal Crash On Garden State Parkway In Toms River: Police

TOMS RIVER – Police on Sunday were investigating a fatal crash that happened on the Garden State Parkway this weekend.

Daniel Cintron, 50, of Ossining, N.Y. was struck and killed while he was outside his vehicle on the Garden State Parkway on Saturday, officials said.

Cintron was pronounced dead after he was hit near milepost 86 on the Parkway southbound side around 11:15 p.m, State Police said. A 21-year-old Staten Island was also injured.

The driver, who was from Toms River, was not injured, police said.

Troopers closed two lanes of the Parkway for several hours as the investigation took place on Saturday.
