Garbage, Recycling Delayed Friday In Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Garbage and recycling collection in Toms River will be postponed by a day on Christmas and New Year's because of the holiday, township officials remind.

The township's department of Public Works will be closed both days, and the Recycling Convenience Center will be closed as well.

Garbage and recycling collections normally set for Friday will be picked up on Saturday.

Bulk collections and extra recycling that are normally scheduled for Friday will be picked up on Thursday, Dec. 24.

The Recycling Convenience Center will be open on Saturday and on Jan. 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
