TOMS RIVER, NJ — Gordon Ramsay set off a buzz in Toms River in October when word go out that he was filming an episode of his restaurant makeover show in town.

The episode filmed at Caneda's White Rooster ended up taking a bit of a back seat when Ramsay connected with Beachwood 12-year-old Kallista Flores, visiting her at her school to meet the girl battling cancer.

But the restaurant that brought him to Toms River in the first place will be getting its time in the spotlight in January.

Advertisements for the third season of Ramsay's show, "24 Hours To Hell And Back," began airing recently saying the season begins Jan. 7, and include clips showing Patty Caneda, the owner of Caneda's White Rooster. The show airs on Fox.

Caneda confirmed the start of the season on the restaurant's Instagram account; the exact air date of the episode is not set yet, she said Monday evening. Ramsay also filmed an episode at Blend on Main in Manasquan right after filming at the White Rooster.

Ramsay's on-air persona is rough and tough, but after his meeting with Kallista Flores, it seems likely people will think of him more like they do a loaf of good French bread: crusty on the outside but soft on the inside.
