The Kites, Crafts & Cones Festival runs from noon to 8 p.m. on the 3rd Avenue boardwalk.

“What's better than a day at the beach? How about a day at the beach that includes old-fashioned family fun, handmade local crafts, free face painting, live music, refreshing ice cream, and dragons and dinosaurs in the sky?” said Gail D’Amico of Friends of Ortley Beach.
