Midiri Brothers Salute Benny Goodman & Artie Shaw May 5th

Part of the Jazz on a Sunday Afternoon Series

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Enjoy a superb Jazz on a Sunday Afternoon show at the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 5, when The Midiri Brothers return to the main stage with their salute to Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw.

The Grunin Center is located on the OCC Main Campus, on College Drive in Toms River.

The Midiri Brothers, known for their musical fireworks and light-hearted banter, have long been a popular attraction at the Grunin Center. For this concert, they will be leading a high-powered big band to pay tribute to two of the most popular clarinetists of the swing era – Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw – both of whom had May birthdays. The Midiris will perform timeless classics associated with each artist, illustrating with finality that swing will always be king!
