OCHS is Now Open for Visitors!

We are again “Telling the Stories of Ocean County.”

The Ocean County Historical Society is pleased to announce that we have returned to almost full operation after being severely limited during the height of the pandemic. Our hours are as follows:

The Elizabeth Sculthorp Force House and Museum is open for docent-led tours from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Beginning in August, tours will also be offered from 1:00 to 3:00 on the first and third Saturday of each month. Tours are currently limited to a maximum of four people at a time. Tours can be arranged by appointment. There is no charge for tours; donations are appreciated.

The Research Center is currently open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Beginning in August, the Research Center will be open on the first and third Saturday of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

For now, our monthly Sunday programs will continue to be presented via ZOOM. We are looking forward to resuming our in-person programs in November.

Bus Trips will be starting up again in the Fall. More information will be available shortly.
