Pedestrian Hit On Route 37 In Toms River: Police

Toms River police said the man, who appeared to be in his 20s, was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A man in his 20s was injured Monday night when he was struck by a vehicle along Route 37, Toms River police said.

The man was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment, said Jillian Messina, media relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department.

The incident was reported about 7:50 p.m., she said, and happened at the intersection of Route 37 and Cardinal Drive.

Messina said the incident was still under investigation and additional details would be released when they become available.
