TOMS RIVER, NJ — Ten years after Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and her friends made Seaside Heights their home for the summer, Snooki and her family have made Ocean County a permanent part of their lives.

Polizzi and her husband, Jionni Lavalle, bought a home in the Silverton section of Toms River. The couple closed on the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home in late June, according to public records.

The 3,100-square-foot home, purchased for $850,000, sits on a lagoon and has a boat dock. There's also a large patio area with a pool and a slide, and Polizzi has posted video and photos of the couple's children — they have two boys and a girl — on Instagram, along with video of the family boating.

She also operates a store in Madison, The Snooki Shop; it's not clear if the family is spending summers in Silverton or if they've moved to the shore full-time.

"Jersey Shore," which debuted on MTV in 2009, aired 71 episodes and was criticized for its sometimes unsavory view of life in Seaside Heights. UNICO National, an Italian-American organization, called the show "trash television" before it debuted and the show was derided by Gov. Chris Christie.

The rowdy behavior of Snooki and her "Jersey Shore" castmembers led to many Shore towns rebuffing attempts by MTV to shoot reunion shows and other reboots, including "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" in 2017.
