Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
Dani works hard and is committed to her students. She works at a school for kids with special needs called New Road. I?ve only been in her life a few years but I can?t picture her doing anything else because of the love she has for those kids. I was invited to do a Halloween art project last year in her room and I was able to actually see her with her class and understand the empathy and patience it takes, and she has that and more. She is the goofiest person outside of work and she brings it to their level and it was just awesome to see.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
She puts more heart into her job than anyone I know.
Danielle also was nominated by Andrea Ragsdale, who worked with her for six months at New Road School:
"Danielle is a very caring and nurturing person especially toward her students, which happen to be of the special needs population," Ragsdale wrote.
"It takes a special person to deal with the type of students that Danielle deals with every day. Danielle should be honored for her strength and capability to handle such a challenging environment on a daily basis," she wrote. "Danielle has a large and caring heart. Danielle takes out a lot of her time and strength to put into the students whom she cares so much about."
