Where: Beachwood Beach, and beaches in Pine Beach, Ocean Gate and Island Heights along the Toms River.
When: Thursday, July 4, at dark.
Beachwood's Fireworks over the Toms River have drawn spectators and boaters to spots along the river for the annual donation-funded display for years. With patriotic music supplied by WOBM's radio broadcast, the event draws thousands to the corridor from South Toms River to Ocean Gate.
Beachwood has a gathering on Beachwood Beach yearly, as does Pine Beach. But spectators often bring coolers and blankets and have picnics as well as watching the display. Last year's fireworks did not go off as planned when the vendor ran into an issue and did not have a driver available to deliver the fireworks.
What: Seaside Heights Fireworks
Where: On the beach in Seaside Heights
When: July 4 at dusk
The annual fireworks display in the borough will be held on the beach. Bring a blanket or hang out on the boardwalk to watch the display. The borough has fireworks displays scheduled every Wednesday following the July 4th display.
