Toms River Fire Company 1 Marking 125th Anniversary
A parade and block party Saturday will help the fire company honor 125 years of volunteer service to the Toms River community.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — For 125 years, volunteers in the community have been helping to protect homes and businesses as part of Toms River Fire Company 1.
On Saturday, the fire company will host a block party and parade in downtown Toms River to celebrate its milestone.
The event is expected to include music by students from The Music Academy and from Kickin Nash, food, crafts, children's activities and memorabilia for sale.

The parade is set to begin at 10 a.m. on Hooper Avenue, and the block party on Robbins Street follows until 5 p.m.
