Toms River Schools Shift To Remote Instruction For Thursday

Snowfall overnight made driving slippery for the morning commute.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Snowfall overnight that left roads slick prompted Toms River Regional School District officials to shift to remote instruction for Thursday's classes.

The Toms River school district does not have emergency closure days built into the school calendar for 2020-2021, so closing school completely would require the district to extend the school year in June to make up the day.

Thursday's schedule will be four hours of instruction. The hybrid learning bell schedule for the schools is on the district website here.
