Traffic Signals Out Along Route 9, 7K Without Power In Toms River
Motorists are warned to expect delays from Route 571 north because the traffic signals are not working, authorities said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A power outage affecting nearly 7,000 Toms River homes and businesses on Monday morning is affecting traffic signals along Route 9 in the area.
The Ocean County Sheriff's Office said traffic signals are out along Route 9 from Route 571/Indian Head Road north to Cox Cro Road.
Jersey Central Power & Light's outage website estimates electric service will be restored about noon. The cause of the outage was not immediately available.

Motorists driving on cross streets as well as along Route 9 should expect delays and exercise caution in the area while the signals are out.
