Turning Point Restaurant Coming To Ocean County Mall
Known for its breakfast, lunch and brunch menu, the restaurant is the latest addition in the area where Sears was torn down.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — For those who love to start their day with a hearty breakfast or a special brunch, the Ocean County Mall will have just the spot: Turning Point is coming to the mall, officials announced.
Turning Point is anticipated to open in the summer of 2020 as part of the ongoing redevelopment of the mall, officials said.
Turning point was founded in 1993 in Little Silver and has 19 locations with more in the works, said Erin Barbato, director of marketing and business development for Simon, the owner of the Ocean County Mall.

"We are delighted to have Turning Point, a sophisticated breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant, as an addition to the retail and dining options at Ocean County Mall," Barbato said.
The Turning Point's menu items are made to order from scratch and the philosophy is "fresh is always best," according to the restaurant's website. The restaurant will have an outdoor patio as well as its indoor seating area, Barbato said.

Turning Point is one of several additions expected at the mall, which has been undergoing renovations at the former Sears location at the north end of the mall.
A new main entrance and plaza with restaurants and retailers that will connect to the new lifestyle center on the north side of the property.
"We are incredibly excited to bring new additions and enhancements to the property, that will allow us to provide an even greater shopping and dining experience to our loyal shoppers," said Tara Melodick, general manager at Ocean County Mall.
The new mall entrance will feature a tall illuminated glass entranceway with landscaping and pedestrian scale lighting to create a wonderful evening environment while dining and shopping. Some restaurants will feature exterior patios for diners to enjoy al fresco dining.
Connecting sidewalks will provide shoppers a convenient walk from the mall to the lifestyle center that features recently announced new retailers LA Fitness, Ulta Beauty and Homesense. Shoppers will also see new, exterior way finding signs throughout the property.
As part of the redevelopment, Ocean County Mall has also made several environmentally conscious decisions including recycling demolition waste, incorporating smart energy efficient lighting systems, reducing impervious surfaces and adding green spaces that reduce storm water run-off and enhancing the center's landscaping with native plants and new trees. These practices will improve energy efficiency and cut carbon emissions.
