Vehicle Fire Partially Closes Route 37 Bridge From Seaside Heights

TOMS RIVER, NJ ? Traffic is jammed up crossing the J. Stanley Tunney Bridge on Route 37 westbound Tuesday evening due to a truck fire, authorities said.

The state Department of Transportation said the right lane on the westbound bridge was closed due to the fire response.

Emergency lights could be seen from the east-facing camera at Fischer Boulevard on the NJDOT website 511nj.org.

There was no word on any injuries as a result of the fire.

Traffic was moving smoothly on the eastbound Thomas A. Mathis Bridge.
