Water Main Break Along Route 9 Under Repair In Toms River
There is a lane shift in place near the repair site; motorists are urged to use caution in the area.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Water company crews are making emergency repairs to a water main break along Route 9 in Toms River on Monday afternoon, officials said.
The emergency repair, near 1567 Lakewood Road (Route 9), has led to a double lane shift through the area, and police are directing traffic while Suez crews repair the break, said Jane Kunka, a Suez spokeswoman.
The break is just north of Sunset Road, near the Enterprise Rent-a-Car business.

There is heavy equipment at the site working on the repair of the water main, Kunka said. Travelers should be aware and proceed safely.
