Alcohol Involved In Accident On Route 23 In Riverdale, Police Say
Riverdale Police charge a woman for driving under the influence after she hits a median on Route 23.
On Sunday evening, Riverdale Police responded to an accident on Route 23 South, by Highland Avenue.
An officer found that a woman driving a green Mitsubishi Gallant had struck the center median. The 30-year-old woman from Wayne was not hurt, but she smelled of alcohol and her eyes were bloodshot. After conducting some field sobriety tests and administering an Alcotest, police determined that she was driving while intoxicated.
She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Careless Driving and then released with a Municipal Court date in October.
