Bloomingdale Runners Compete in First Meet

Students at Walter T. Bergen School made history this week by running in the school’s first cross country meet.

The Bobcats hosted the team from Mendham. The boys were shutout but the girls lost a close competition 26-29.

Agatha Malinowski finished first for the Bobcats. Dan Schopper was the first boy Bobcat to cross the finish line. He finished in ninth.

The team will run against Boonton in its next meet Oct. 23.

The Bloomingdale Policemen’s Benevolent Association donated the T-shirts that the runners will wear in meets this season.
