Butler School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Butler is September 6. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Butler Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/6: First Day for Students

October

• 10/9: No School for Students (Staff In-service)

November

• 11/9 - 11/10: No School (NJEA Convention)
• 11/22: Early Dismissal
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/22: Early Dismissal
• 12/25 - 1/1: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/9: Early Dismissal for Students (Staff In-service)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Day)

February

• 2/16 - 2/19: No School (Midwinter Break)

March

• 3/5: Early Dismissal for Students (Staff In-service)
• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/20: Last Day for Students, BHS Graduation
• 6/21: Last Day for Staff
