Butler Schools Scale Back In-Person Instruction—For Now

Superintendent Dan Johnson staffing concerns have changed things up.

BUTLER, NJ - Butler School District Superintendent Dan Johnson said the reopening plan isn't perfect, but it is one he is very proud of.

School is set to begin Sept. 2.

But despite that, staffing concerns have forced changes to the start of the Butler School year, and the plan has been split into three phases. The first will limit in-person learning to selected student populations like:

  • PT/OT/Speech
  • ESL/ELL High Intensity
  • Instruction
  • Intervention
  • Counseling/SEL
  • Preschool MD/BD Classes
  • Extra, Co-curricular Activities

The rest of the courses and grade levels will be working within the distance virtual learning schedules.
