Coldwell Banker Supports Dance for the Cure

RINGWOOD/HILLSBOROUGH, N.J. (Nov. 8, 2019) – Two Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage real estate agents from different parts of New Jersey recently discovered they shared a mutual connection in the fight against breast cancer and joined forces for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Orly Steinberg, a real estate agent affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Ringwood, created a Facebook post documenting hew own journey with breast cancer. She said she would donate toward the fight against the disease for every like, comment and share on her post. The response was great, with over 4,000 views, 130 shares and a lot of people reaching out to share their own stories.

Colleague Joanne Liscovitz of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Hillsborough/Montgomery office contacted Steinberg and told her about Dance for the Cure, a charitable organization she founded in 1999 with her friend Kathleen Cirioli, a two-time cancer survivor. They began their journey after tap-dancing together on The Rosie O’Donnell Show. After hearing Cirioli’s story of survival, many viewers reached out regarding their own struggles. Liscovitz and Cirioli realized they could do something to help. They launched Dance for the Cure, which to date has raised over $650,000 toward the prevention and cure of breast cancer through the celebration of dance.

Steinberg happily presented Liscovitz and Cirioli with a $1,000 check for Dance for the Cure and said she “plans to be involved with this wonderful organization going forward.”
