Drugs, Warrant Arrests In Bloomingdale: Blotter

BLOOMINGDALE, NJ — Bloomingdale police made several arrests between July 13 and 25, including for drugs and warrants. Read more about those arrests, as written by police, in the blotter here:

On 7/13/19 at 07:58 hours, Ptl. Sami Zeidan stopped a vehicle on Main Street. After initially speaking with the driver, Ptl. Zeidan spoke to one of the passengers. The 37 year old male from Passaic was discovered to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Also, a small quantity of C.D.S. was located with an item used to ingest such. The male was arrested and transported back to headquarters for processing. He was charged with possession of C.D.S. and possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrant was out of the City of Passaic and their police department was notified. They released the male on his own recognizance until a future court date. He was also released pending his court date with our court. Sgt. David Terpstra assisted with the arrest.

Also on 7/13/19 at 16:06 hours, Sgt. David Terpstra stopped a truck on Main Street. In speaking to the driver, a 27 year old male from Jersey City, Sgt. Terpstra learned that the male had 2 outstanding warrants for his arrest. One from the Borough of Wanaque while the second was from the Borough of Franklin Lakes. The male was arrested and transported to headquarters. Unable to post bail, both jurisdictions were notified. Both jurisdictions elected to release the male on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Sgt. Terpstra also learned that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license and the male was issued a summons for such and released. Ptl. Zeidan assisted with the arrest.

On 7/24/19 at 02:17 hours, Ptl. Kevin Peirsel observed a suspicious vehicle with several occupants parked on Andrew Place. In approaching the vehicle he found two of the occupants to be a 19 year old male driver from Ringwood along with an 18 year old male passenger also from Ringwood. Observed inside the vehicle on the floor was a clear plastic zip lock bag containing suspected C.D.S., specifically marijuana. A search also yielded items used to ingest same. Both males were arrested and transported to headquarters. The driver was charged with possession of C.D.S., possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to turn over C.D.S. and for C.D.S. in a motor vehicle. The passengers was charged with possession of C.D.S., possession of drug paraphernalia and for failure to turn over C.D.S. Both were released pending their court date. Sgt. David Terpstra and Ptl. Sami Zeidan assisted at the scene.

On 7/25/19 at 19:54 hours, Ptl. Antonio Calabro stopped a motor vehicle on Hamburg Turnpike. Upon speaking to the driver, Ptl. Calabro observed signs of C.D.S. use. A search revealed a small plastic bag containing C.D.S., on a 24 year old male passenger from Middletown, NY, and a second bag containing C.D.S. in the glove compartment which was claimed by another passenger, a 25 year old male also from Middletown, NY. Both passengers were arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. Both males were charged with possession of C.D.S. and released pending their court date. Lt. Ronald Frost along with Riverdale Officers Ptl. Andrew Duffy and Ptl. Ryan Norlander all assisted at the scene.
