Frank Benzakour, CCM,CCE, Joins Edgewood Country Club as COO & GM

Frank Benzakour has joined Edgewood Country Club as our chief operating officer and general manager.

With more than 25 years’ experience, Benzakour has a distinguished background in the country club and hospitality industries. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer and general manager at The Village Country Club of Sands Point (NY). He also held similar positions at the Rockrimmon Country Club (CT) and Middle Bay Country Club (NY).

Committed to excellence, Benzakour has been named a “Rising Star” Club Manager by McMahon Group and Club & Resort Business magazine. In addition, Golf Inc. Magazine named him a “Most Admired Operator,” and the Food and Beverage Association of America selected him as the “Industry Professional of the Year” in 2014.

Benzakour earned an MBA from Cornell University, a BS in Business Administration from Adelphi University and is a Certified Sommelier. A Certified Club Executive with the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), he is working with the association toward becoming a Master Club Manager.
