Good Behavior Nets 'Real Housewife' Prison Kitchen Duty, TV Time With Friends

Sentence already slashed, Teresa Giudice making most of prison term, report says.

Teresa Giudice is really making herself at home in a Danbury, Connecticut prison.

The Montville resident and cast member of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” has been locked up since Jan. 5 after being sentenced to 15 months in prison for tax and mortgage fraud.

According to nydailynews.com, Giudice, thanks to being on her best behavior, has been assigned to kitchen duty, where she’s whipping up whatever homemade Italian specialties the ingredients on hand will allow.

When she’s done washing dishes, Giudice has been getting her fill of network television, the report said, enjoying “Empire” and “Scandal” with other inmates in the common room. According to the report, Giudice is also keeping tabs on her Bravo Network colleagues by watching “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

Giudice is slated to be released from prison on Feb. 5, 2016, two months short of her original sentence because of good behavior.

The reality television star isn’t immune to the kitchen, having purchased a partnership in Jersey Meatball Co., a restaurant in North Bergen last year. In doing so, Giudice was going to bring her secret meatball recipe to the restaurant’s menu.

Giudice has also penned a cookbook in recent years, and made a YouTube video titled “Haute Hostess” just days before surrendering herself to prison.

Giudice and her husband, Joe, were sentenced in October for their role in mortgage and bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy. Joe Giudice’s 41-month sentence will begin once his wife is released.
