Instacart Expanding in Tri-Boro Area

Residents in these 15 towns can have groceries delivered from BJ's, CVS, and more.

TRI-BORO, NJ — Need something from the store but don't actually want to go to the store? The online same-day delivery service Instacart is expanding to multiple towns across Morris and Passaic counties, beginning next Thursday.

Starting on April 19, residents in 15 different towns can places orders through Instacart for goods from BJ's, CVS, and Petco (the pet store won't start until April 26). Orders can be placed as far as six days in advance, or be delivered in as little as one hour.

Delivery prices start at $5.99, but can go up if your order is too small, the service is too busy, or other factors. Years subscriptions are also available. Those cost $14.99 during the trail period, and $149 a year after that.

Launching in Riverdale gives us an opportunity to expand service in the New Jersey market. Want to try it out? First time shoppers can use the code HEYRIVERDALE at checkout to get $20 off an order of $35 or more, plus a free first time delivery. The code expires on May 19.

The company says they're adding 100 jobs during the expansion.
