I want everyone in Kinnelon to know that the Kinnelon Police Department is working very hard to protect us against break-ins that have been happening to our cars in Kinnelon. KPD is working with the Morris County Sheriff and also the Car Theft Task Force.  KPD has a game plan and it’s being implemented immediately. You’re probably asking, what we can do as a community? Just understand that this is very serious and you need to make sure your car doors are locked. They like the ability to get into a car fast and get out fast. If your car is unlocked it makes the criminals job a lot easier. Also, make sure if your car is locked there is no valuables or items able to be seen in the inside of your car. Understand this is not just happening in Kinnelon it’s happening throughout the state and KPD is taking this very serious. If you see anything or anyone suspicious at night or early morning please call Kinnelon Police. Thank you.
