Kinnelon Resident Named District Manager for Coldwell Banker

KINNELON, N.J. (Jan. 8, 2021) – Rob Norman, president of Coldwell Banker Realty in New Jersey and Rockland County, New York, is pleased to announce that Al Garcia has been appointed district manager for the company’s offices in Essex and Passaic counties. He will oversee a new district with seven offices—Clifton, Livingston, Maplewood, Montclair, Short Hills, Wayne and West Essex Regional (Caldwell)—and approximately 675 sales associates.

“Al brings a legacy of leadership to his new role. He is innovative and builds teams within a positive office environment. Al has personally helped agents at four different Coldwell Banker Realty locations to achieve success in their professional and personal lives,” said Norman. “I am excited to welcome Al to this new district manager role and know that he will excel.” Norman noted that Garcia brought an impressive 14 agents to Coldwell Banker Realty in the last 15 months utilizing the company’s Targeted Agent Recruitment Program.

Garcia, a Kinnelon resident, has more than 20 years of leadership, managerial, and sales experience. He entered real estate as a sales associate in 2006, earning several awards and selling more than $50 million in luxury, residential and commercial real estate over the next five years. Garcia was promoted to leadership in 2011 and has successfully managed the Coldwell Banker Realty Parsippany, Morris Plains, Wyckoff/Franklin Lakes and Ringwood offices. He also owned and operated Accendo Properties, a private equity real estate investment and brokerage company in Edgewater.

Garcia served two highly decorated tours in the U.S. Army, from 1990-1997 and 2001-2006. His extensive leadership experience included numerous combat service tours as an Airborne Ranger Infantry officer. Garcia also worked as an investment advisor with Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. He holds bachelor’s degrees in social science and history from Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, is a distinguished Army ROTC military graduate from Seton Hall University in South Orange and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in real estate from New York University. He and his wife Marina share three children.
