Man Tried To Extinguish House Fire With Garden Hose: BPD
Police say the house fire broke out while grilling on Memorial Day.
BLOOMINGDALE, NJ — Bloomingdale Police were called to a house fire on Memorial Day, only to find the resident was trying to put it out with a garden house.
Police say they went to the Highland Avenue House around 7:20 p.m. on Memorial Day. A fire was burning on the outside of the home, and the resident was trying to use a garden hose to extinguish the flame.
The resident told police and firefighters that the fire started while they were grilling outside.

The Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the fire. There were no injuries, police said.
