As we all know Halloween is on a Saturday this year. With that being said, I'm concerned with the kid's going out early to your houses and they might not being able to tell whether or not your front porch light is on/off. I know if it was me, I'd be out early before dusk and excited and might miss the light being off.

I read a very well written letter from Fayson Lakes which is asking residents to put a ribbon on their mailbox or railing to let kids know that they are giving away candy. I'm asking the entire town to try and follow these same directions. Please put a ribbon on your mailbox, railing or a tree to make sure the kids see it and know your open for business.

Again, if you're not participating, please turn off your front light and if you are, leave on your light and put any type of ribbon out so the kiddos can see it. Stay safe and please be respectful to the houses in our amazing community. GO COLTS!!!

Mayor Freda
