80 years ago, in 1939, our Squad was founded as the Butler First Aid Squad. One year later the name was changed to-Boro First Aid Squad reflecting our charter to serve our neighbors of Butler, Bloomingdale and Kinnelon. In 1940, the first new Buick ambulance was placed in service. Today we maintain three state of the art Ambulances plus a Captain’s rig.
We’re pleased to announce Columbia Bank has just approved a grant to the Squad for a Lucas Chest Compression System which performs long term uninterrupted CPR and frees up our members to concentrate on other vital lifesaving tasks .
