Tri-Boro Student Athletes Honored By NJSIAA

TRI-BORO, NJ — Student athletes from Butler and Kinnelon were honored by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) for academic excellence and dedicated to high school sports.

All NJSIAA member school can nominated student athletes. Each athlete earns at least $500 in scholarship money.

Alyssa Ureta, Butler, was recognized for cross country, and spring track at Butler High School. Calais Cronin, Kinnelon, was honored for basketball at Kinnelon High School.

“These student-athletes worked extremely hard in the classroom and in their respective sports to stand out from their peers,” says Steve Timko, the NJSIAA’s executive director. “This luncheon is our way of applauding their efforts and wishing them well as they begin college.”
