Allaire Village Flea Market Opens Saturday

Saturday's semiannual market will feature handmade items, artwork, baked goods and more.

WALL, NJ – Lovers of bargains, vintage treasures and antiques rejoice: the Allaire Village flea market will kick off its seasonal debut on July 25.

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, vendors will be offering books, handmade items and original artwork, while an on-site general store, bakery and gourmet food truck will be available for resident foodies. A $3 entrance fee will be charged upon arrival (children under 12 are free).

In compliance with local mandates, face coverings will be required at the market, and customers are expected to use hand sanitizer after every transaction or handling of items. Social distancing measures will also be followed, including a “one way” traffic flow of patrons and an expectation that customers will maintain a six-foot distance from each other.

The flea market is a semiannual fundraising event for Allaire Village, a local nonprofit operating The Historic Village at Allaire. The organization is dedicated to historic preservation of the area, which was once a self-sufficient community and iron factory.

“Our delayed opening has been as a result of COVID 19. We have had to submit and modify our event operating plan that protects the staff, the vendors and, of course, the visitors,” wrote the market in a statement.

“For everyone’s safety and security, vendor space is limited, parking is limited and the number of patrons allowed in at any given time is limited. If customers can remember to follow these rules Allaire Village will be able to continue their very popular flea markets for the rest of the season.”

While vendor space is sold out for Saturday’s market, applicants can contact the Allaire Village office at (732) 919-3500 to inquire about selling at future market events.
