Even In War, There is Kindness

This photo from Wall Township Marine Serge Huber, taken while he was stationed in Afghanistan. This photo was taken in May of last year after Huber and his unit pushed into an enemy compound after a day in battle during "Operation Reservoir Dogs."

There was a chick, one that had survived some kind of animal attack, Huber said.

"It was dying (of) hyperthermia I guess," Huber said. "Instead of letting it die, I started a small fire and warmed it up. Fed it some MRE food I had, and that night that little guy stayed by me the whole night, followed me everywhere."
