More Than Half of All Eligible Wall People Are Halfway Vaccinated

According to data released by the Department of Health on Monday, about 80 percent of Wall senior citizens are fully vaccinated.

WALL – Over half of all eligible people in Wall Township has gotten at least one COVID-19 shot, according to findings released by the state this week.

The New Jersey Department of Health released town-level data on COVID-19 vaccinations on Monday. The state's COVID-19 dashboard has a breakdown by percentage of every person who has been partially or fully vaccinated in every municipality.

  • Wall Township population with at least one dose: 51 percent of all ages, 64 percent of adults (18 and older), and 89 percent of seniors (65 and older).
  • Wall Township population fully vaccinated: 42 percent of all ages, 53 percent of adults, and 79 percent of seniors.

State officials set a goal to fully vaccinate 70 percent of all adults, about 4.7 million people, by the end of June. As of Monday afternoon, about 3.6 million people in New Jersey have been fully vaccinated. All people 16 and older in New Jersey are eligible for vaccination, but sixteen- and 17-year-olds can only get the Pfizer two-dose vaccine.
