Police Nab Man Driving Wrong Way On Route 34

A Colonia man was arrested and charged with drunken driving early New Year’s Day after police spotted him driving the wrong direction on one-way highway, authorities said.

Daniel J. Fresta, 25, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated around 4 a.m. Jan. 1 after Patrolmen Dan Santoro and Jack Gramlich saw Fresta driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 34, Sgt. Steven Wolter said.

Fresta was arrested and released with a court date, Wolter said.
