Farrell Wins Wall Committee Seat; School Board Race Close

WALL, NJ — Wall Township voters and Board of Education candidates will have to wait a little longer for final results to declare winners in that race.

According to unofficial tallies, the Board of Education race for three, three-year terms remains very close. John A. Sullivan leads with incumbents Tennant D. Magee Sr. and Michael McArthur following. The unofficial results have Sullivan receiving 4,257; Magee 4,022; McArthur 3,930; Tufts 3,912; Dorrer 3,583; and Taurosa 3,106.

The Wall Township Committee incumbent Republican Timothy J. Farrell won the race for the three-year term, with 7,601 votes to 4,347 for Democrat David Fretz, according to the unofficial tallies.

Robin Zawodniak, currently the board president, received 4,738, beating Wyatt Dobrovich-Fago who received 2,896. Dobrovich-Fago is a recent Wall graduate who helped cause a stir two years ago over changes that were made to photos of students who openly supported President Trump.
