'Remains' Found In Allaire Park Prompt NJSP Investigation: Report

The remains - found in Allaire State Park in Wall Township - were later revealed to be leftover Halloween decorations, authorities said.

WALL, NJ - A report of human remains at a Monmouth County park sparked an investigation by New Jersey State Police last week, according to a report from RLS Media. The remains in question were, in fact, leftover Halloween decorations, authorities told the publication.

A Saturday report of human remains found at Allaire State Park in Wall Township resulted in an investigation from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes unit as well as a New Jersey State Police Anthropologist Unit, the report said.

The investigation began around 9:05 p.m., according to the publication.

Multiple requests for comment were not immediately returned by New Jersey State Police spokespersons.
