Two Facing Charges For Recent Crimes

Brick man and Colts Neck man ran afoul of the law in Wall Township recently

Two area men are facing charges for recent crimes separately committed in Wall Township, according to court records.

A Brick man caught by police with illegal drugs was jailed last week after lying about his identity, according to an arrest warrant.

Ryan T. Maas, 30, was charged with possession of suboxone, a drug used to treat opiate addiction. During the Jan. 3 arrest, Maas identified himself to police as “Ryan T. Mass,’’ according to the warrant.

Maas was additionally charged with hindering his own apprehension and taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $10,000 bail, the warrant says.

Maas also was charged with a contempt charge out of Ocean County, according to jail records. The bail on that charge also was set at $10,000, jail records say.

A Colts Neck man faces charges of assault by auto following an summertime arrest, according to an indictment.

Glen Kurtz, 50, was indicted by a grand jury Friday on fourth-degree assault by auto charges stemming from an Aug. 12, 2012, arrest, according to the indictment.
