Wall Township Committee To Discuss Pot Ban, Affordable Housing
A public hearing on a town-wide ban of cannabis-related businesses is on the agenda for tonight's meeting.

WALL, NJ – The Wall Township Committee will hold a public hearing on an ordinance that would ban any cannabis-based business from operating in the borough during tonight’s meeting.
Last month, the ordinance was introduced as a response to the state mandate making marijuana legal in New Jersey.
This ordinance, if passed, would ban the sale of any cannabis-based product in Wall Township and the selling of any related productions as well as the cultivating or growing of pot.

“By being very specific, we believe that we firmly cover every scenario, and we would not be permitting any type of commerce of marijuana," Wall Township borough attorney SeanKean said at the April 28 meeting.
Other ordinances on the agenda for tonight’s meeting include introducing two ordinances that would create two separate affordable housing zones in the borough.
