A woman teaching a swimming lesson at Silton Swim School posted on Bob Weatherman Burger's Facebook page that the wind picked up tables and chairs at the swim school "and flung them against the fence, bending the metal fence, and sending an umbrella out into the parking lot. Chairs ended up in the pool along with whatever was on the ground - towels, shoes. water bottles, etc. I felt like I was in a movie."

There was no estimate by JCP&L of when power would be restored because of the extent of the damage. In addition to Wall, all of Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, and much of Manasquan, Belmar and Brielle were without power.
