1 Year After 6-Year-Old's Death, Her Family Continues To Fight Against Cancer, Report Says
Lily LaRue Anderson died April 6, 2015 from a terminal brain tumor.

WAYNE, N.J. - Lily LaRue Anderson's family continues the fight against brain cancer with a new foundation it launched in her memory.
Anderson was 6 when she died almost two years ago from an inoperable form of brain cancer called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma. A tumor developed in her brain stem, where it affected motor control and sensation. The average life expectancy after diagnosis is nine months. Anderson lived 11.
The Lily LaRue Foundation held one of its first events recently, The Record reported: An event at Momma's Boy in Wayne. The foundation hopes to bring families of people diagnosed with DIPG together and try and find a cure.

More than $56,000 has been donated in nearly two years for the foundation on a GoFundMe page. Donations continue to be accepted.
A Facebook page the family runs provides updates on the foundation and continues to chronicle to battle against DIPG.
