Tickets To See 'Avengers: Endgame' At NJ Theater On eBay For $10K

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — The demand for tickets to see "Avengers: Endgame" on opening night is causing some people to post their tickets for exorbitant amounts of money on the secondary market.

A seller with the username "leonitus.o" is selling four tickets to a Thursday, April 25 show at the Clifton Commons 16 for $5,999, with a "buy me now" price of $9,999. The auction ends at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.

A ticket to see "Endgame" for a Friday, April 26 afternoon viewing in Essex County sold for $15,000 on eBay. "Endgame" tickets for North Jersey movie theaters are going for between $8.50 and about $12 on Fandango.

Pre-sale tickets for "Endgame," the sequel to last year's "Avengers: Infinity War," went on sale Tuesday. But online ticket purchasing sites like Fandango were quickly inundated with people trying to get tickets. AMC's website and its ticketing app crashed there was so much traffic, CNN reported.

Many first shows sold out, helping "Endgame," set Fandango's first day pre-sales record in just six hours, CNN reported.
