Cyclist Dies After Struck By Car In Passaic County
The cyclist hasn't been identified after being hit by a car in Prospect Park. No charges have been filed, but an investigation is ongoing.
PROSPECT PARK, NJ — A cyclist has died after they were struck by a car in Prospect Park, New Jersey on Wednesday afternoon. Their identity has not yet been released.
Prospect Park police responded to the area of Brown Avenue and North 9th Street on a report of a cyclist hit by a car around 12:42 p.m. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
A borough woman was operating the car that struck the cyclist, and remained on the scene. She presented a valid drive's license, and wasn't suspected to be under the influence, the Passaic County Prosecutor said.
