Le Danse is a contemporary studio for professional dance instruction. A unique place where fresh and creative dance concepts originate. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, yet disciplined and structured. We offer a full range of dance classes for children and adults.

• Preschool Classes - Ages 2-1/2 - 4 - Our early childhood curriculum is designed to provide a nurturing, non-competitive environment in which children are introduced to a variety of dance basics, a beautiful beginning to ballet and jazz. Emphasis is placed on exploring their creativity, discovering their interests and developing dance skills. The one hour program enables the child to develop self-awareness in a playful atmosphere, incorporating basic dance skills with music and games. Students will learn classroom etiquette, spacial movement and musicality.
• Creative Childrens Workshop - Ages 5 - 7 - This program consists of ballet, tap and jazz incorporating performance ability through song and dance. The class includes structured ballet and tap barres, basic concepts of jazz, center work and across the floor. Students will expand their knowledge of dance terminology and prepare for a more focused approach to technique with increased difficulty.
• Ballet - Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms, originating in the 17th century. Ballet classes focus on technique including barre exercises, across the floor and performance ability through combinations. Students will expand their knowledge of ballet vocabulary, concentrating on correct use of torso, legs and feet, including body alignment and turnout.
• Lyrical/Contemporary - A personal interpretation put to music. Lyrical dancing expresses feelings and emotions through movement. Styles concentrate more on individual approach and expressiveness. Contemporary dance incorporates changes in rhythm, speed and direction. Both are driven by strong technique skills.
• Tap - Tap originated through many cultures. It is a method of rhythm and syncopation executed with the feet. The many styles include Buck & Wing, Softshoe, Broadway, Step Dancing, Clogging, Musical Comedy and Rhythm Tap.
• Jazz - Jazz dance is the soul of American movement. A highly-stylized, highly-personalized dance form using the entire body to reflect individualistic expression. Jazz dance styles come into being, mature and change, as does the music that influences it.
• Father/Daughter & Mother/Daughter Classes - These classes were originated by Le Danse and have been a tradition ever since. Special choreography specifically designed for either fathers and daughters or mothers and daughters are enjoyed by all who participate. What better way to create memories that will last a lifetime!
• Technique Classes - These classes consist of jazz, lyrical or ballet technique. Technique is taught in order improve and strengthen each individual student. Examples are stretch classes, turn, leap and jump classes, etc.
• Adult Classes - Le Danse is one of the few studios in the area that has an ongoing adult curriculum. The class consists of jazz and tap technique, as well as choreography that is well suited for the adult dancer.
• Competition Classes - Competition classes focus on learning and perfecting a challenging piece of choreography in addition to strengthening technique. Competition students are chosen through an audition process and must be well-rounded in all subjects.
